Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Try CV Craft ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use trycvcraft.com (the "Service"). We are committed to processing your data lawfully and transparently, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable laws.

1. Who we are (Data Controller)

The Service is operated by FOP Illia Yushchenko, an individual entrepreneur (FOP) registered in Ukraine, acting as the data controller for your personal data. You can reach us at support@trycvcraft.com for any privacy-related question or request.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: your email address and authentication details when you sign up.
• Resume content: the information you enter into your resumes (name, contact details, experience, etc.), stored so you can edit and export it.
• Usage data: basic technical logs (such as credit usage and export activity) needed to operate the Service.
• Payment data: processed by our payment provider, Creem. We receive confirmation of your purchase but do not store your full card details.

3. How we use your data and legal bases

Under the GDPR, we process your data on the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): to create and maintain your account, store and edit your resumes, generate the PDF exports you request, and manage your credit balance.
• Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): to keep records required for tax and accounting in connection with your purchases.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): to keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Cookies and local storage

We only use storage that is strictly necessary to operate the Service:

• Authentication cookies set by Supabase to keep you signed in.
• Local storage to remember your interface language preference.

We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, so no cookie consent banner is required.

5. Processors we use

• Supabase — database, authentication and storage.
• Creem — payment processing and Merchant of Record.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments and under data processing agreements.

6. International data transfers

Our processors may store and process data on servers located outside Ukraine or the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the relevant providers.

7. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your resumes and associated personal data are deleted. Limited records related to purchases may be retained where required by tax or accounting law.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you have the right to access, correct, export (data portability), delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can edit or delete your data at any time from your account, or contact us to exercise these rights.

If you are in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion; as noted above, we do not sell personal information.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The date above reflects the latest revision.
